If you have a party DOG advice:
Though they may be willing to eat anything, some dogs have delicate constitutions. They are also natural scavengers.
If you're planning a party, be aware that your dog will want to sniff out tasty tidbits on any surface he can reach and scour the floor for goodies your guests may have dropped. Be sure to keep food on high counters when possible. You should also develop a plan for cleaning up spills and getting rid of garbage.
Perhaps the most important piece of advice for party-giving dog owners is this: Know your pet, and trust your instincts.
Not all pooches want to be in social situations. Does your dog have good manners around company, around children? If the answer is no, you should make sure your pup has plenty of space to get out of the way, or, if necessary, a space where you can keep him confined.
Just sticking your dog in a room away from the action may pose a problem, however. If your dog doesn't like being shut up in a room or a crate when no one's around, he's certainly not going to like it when people are around. If that is the case, consider hiring a pet sitter or boarding your dog for the day.
Even if your shindig is an indoor affair, you can still put your dog on a leash. It's a convenient means of controlling your dog's behavior, and it makes taking him out for bathroom breaks that much easier.
If you have a party CAT advice:
Ignoring your guests may seem rude, but for your cat, it may be standard operating procedure. Be sure to give Fluffy a place to retreat to if your party gets too wild.
Cats should be allowed the opportunity to hide. Plan ahead and equip the "safe room" with food, water and, most importantly, a litter box. Eventually, your cat will need to eliminate, and you definitely want that to happen in the appropriate place!
Posting a note on the door to this room can't hurt, either. It's a thoughtful touch for your guests and your cat. This lets people know there is a cat inside who doesn't want to be disturbed.
Try to look at the situation from your cat's point of view. If you think your pet doesn't want to be there, you're probably right. And no matter how much your guests may love your cat, your cat doesn't have to love them back.
A note about allergies: Always let your guests know ahead of time that you have a cat, as one or more invitees may be allergic. Since there's really no way to get all the hair and dander out of your home, issuing a warning is just good host etiquette. This goes double for overnight guests.

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that
can be recalled by their maker.
Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
and some days you're the statue.
Always keep your words soft and sweet,
just in case you have to eat them.

THE ADKINS DIET HAS HIT THE PET MARKET:
For the past few years, the pet food companies have been telling us that we have been wiping out dogs and cats kidneys with high protein food. Now, it seems, we have been causing other problems, especially in cats. I still like the high carbohydrate, low protein diet for dogs but many new developments have been discovered with the cat population.
Ten years ago, when the low protein diet for cats became a fad, not many felines were diabetic. It was pretty rare. Today, though, due to the high carbohydrate content in cat foods, one in one hundred cats is diabetic. Also, cats never used to be obese. With today’s cat foods, most cats have a weight problem.
NEW CAT FEEDING RECOMMENDATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Never leave food out for cats. (I guess I'll have to say good-bye to my many food towers for my cats.) I love the convenience of filling it up once every few days and letting the cats munch to their hearts content - DO NOT DO THIS ANYMORE. Also, dry food is VERY high in carbohydrates. The new recommendation is to go with canned foods. These are lower in carbohydrates, higher in fiber, and higher in protein. (Try to stick with the lower fat foods, if possible.) As far as the teeth, the experts say if the cat is prone to tartar, it will develop no matter if the food is wet or dry. My main worry with canned food is the stinky litter pan - PU!!
Cats should get 200-250 kcal of food per day. Also, pork rinds are the best snack, as they are the lowest in carbohydrates (but high in fat and protein.)

The Bible says to have an answer for why you believe to those who ask you. This is a good example of an answer to one of the most common reasons sinners give for ignoring God and His goodness.
A man went to a barber shop to have his hair and beard cut as always. He started to have a good conversation with the barber who attended him. They talked about so many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched the subject of God. The barber said: "Look man, I don't believe that God exists as you say."
"Why do you say that?" asked the client.
"Well, it's so easy; you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Oh, tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't think of loving a God who permits all of these things."
The client stopped for a moment thinking, but he didn't want to respond so as to cause an argument. The barber finished his job and the client went out of the shop. Just after he left the barber shop he saw a man in the street with a long hair and beard (it seems that it had been a long time since he had his cut and he looked
so untidy). Then the client again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say they don't exist?" asked the barber. "Well, I am here and I am a barber."
"No!" the client exclaimed. "They don't exist because if they did there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks in the street."
"Ah, barbers do exist, what happens is that people do not come to me."
"Exactly!"- affirmed the client. "That's the point. God does exist. What happens is people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
